  44. SETUP.EXE 4.5 - <ASP> 'The Original' Alternative Setup Bootstrap Program

  46. A FREE 18k alternative SETUP.EXE bootstrapper program to the
  47. Microsoft-supplied program for Visual Basic. Also for use with other
  48. Windows development systems such as Delphi.

  50. SETUP.EXE is the program which the user runs to install your application
  51. (as in A:\SETUP). It is designed to pre-install specific files which are
  52. used by a main Setup program (e.g. DLLs, VBXs, HLPs) which performs the
  53. actual application installation. Once these files are installed SETUP.EXE
  54. will run the main Setup program.

  56. Features of SETUP.EXE 4.5 include full dialog box customisation, enhanced
  57. error messages, Windows file version checking, optional temporary install
  58. directory use, setup log, passes all command-line args, allows VB programs
  59. to run during install, and more - over 22 configuration settings!
